Waitrose Chianti Classico is made in partnership with Barone Ricasoli at one of the oldest wineries in Italy; the beautiful Castello di Brolio. The Ricasoli family was the first ever producer of Chianti and they are regarded as being amongst the best in Tuscany. This has generous aromas of ripe berries and spices with delicate hints of violet petals. The palate is full, soft and velvety, demonstrating the grace and finesse of Sangiovese at its best. Best served with red meats, especially fillet steak, with grilled vegetables and roast potatoes.
