Lime Leaf Verdejo Wine

Lime Leaf Verdejo wine from SpainOur search for the best Verdejo Wine takes us to the Rueda, the top spot in Spain for great whites. It uses the region’s popular native grape verdejo – making for a deliciously refreshing wine packed with aromas.
Recenly Rueda has become increasingly popular for its wines. Although it doesn’t have the hackneyed appeal of chardonnay or a sauvignon blanc, this wine is a great example of a region going for a distinctive local style, by using up to date technology
with a traditional grape variety.
In conjunction with Laithwaites this was wine has been brought to market by Javier Murúa, whose grandfather founded the renowned Rioja estate Bodegas Muriel. Javier used his excellent contacts throughout Spain to bring interesting wines to an international clientele.
According to Laithwaites, The Lime Leaf Verdejo  is  “a pure, limy Verdejo, bursting with vibrant lemony notes – and took the lot! To keep the price down we decided to label Lime Leaf as ‘table wine‘ – yet in taste it’s anything but! Enjoy, as the Spanish would, as a refreshing aperitivo, or with grilled white fish, shellfish or salads.”
Also it’s only £41.94 for 6 bottles – you’d be hard pressed to find a Spanish White wine as well sourced or as refreshing for such a reasonable price.
