Check out these new wines

Wine Hound has recently added a number of new wines to its list. From soft and appealing French Country reds to zesty whites from the foothills of the Andes, we’re sure there’ll be something to delight. Check out the full list of new wines here.

From France there’s the vibrant Cotes du Rhone Poulardiere 2010, a deliciously fragrant wine with rich red fruit and blackcurrant flavours. La Vigneau ‘Reserve’ Merlot and Syrah are great examples of really approachable Languedoc reds and excellent value for money at less than £7 each.

From Italy, Salice Salentino Riserva is a soft, easy-drinking red from southern Puglia – a steal at just £6.95 a bottle. Alternatively, if you feel like treating yourself, why not enjoy Tommasi’s Valpoloicella Classico Superiore with wonderful aromas of bitter cherry and oranges.

If you’re looking for whites, we’d definitely recommend two new wines from the La Playa estate in Chile’s Colchagua Valley. Premium vineyard locations, hand-selected grapes and careful vinification all combine to create premium ‘Reserve’ wines – La Playa ‘Reserve’ Chardonnay and La Playa ‘Reserve’ Sauvignon Blanc – both at £8.95 a bottle.

Finally, from our old friends at award-winning Rioja estate Ramon Bilbao, we’re delighted to add three further wines to our list, including a 2004 Gran Reserva; if silky-soft, mature, oak-aged reds are to your taste, then you’ll really enjoy these wines.
